DESCRIPTION

Is the Samurai riding a sea monster or sitting on the wing of a bird? Perhaps there is more to it than even that. The truth is I don’t always know what lives in my mind, even when I attempt to draw it. I simply follow along as one form leads to the next and finally look to see what has materialized. This drawing is in a style that has recently been accumulating in me making use of charcoals and oil pastels to capture glimpses into realities other than our own.
